(伦敦24日讯)日本经济新闻以13亿美元(约49.5亿令吉)从英国培生(Pearson)手中收购全球知名财经媒体《金融时报》。

日经是击败德国Axel Springer,赢得这项交易,为日本媒体迄今规模最大的收购案。

《金融时报》是权威的全球性报纸,拥有非常忠诚的读者群,在媒体产业向网络发行转型的过程中,表现好于其它同业,也是首批成功实行网站收费订阅的报纸之一。

《金融时报》成立于1884年,1893年为与对手区分开而首次选择以粉色印刷。

记者担心新东家

日经新闻董事长兼社长喜多恒雄说:“我对于与《金融时报》这家世界上最有声望的新闻机构之一结盟,感到非常骄傲。我们拥有共同的新闻价值观。”

《日本经济新闻报》仅早间版发行量就超过300万份,在日本享有金融业与商业必读新闻的美誉,但一直未能冲出本土市场。

《金融时报》编辑莱纳巴伯对员工表示,该交易不是被迫为之,但该报记者仍有些担心,因为对新东家了解太少。

但是,没被另一潜在竞争对手彭博收购也让他们松口气,因为这可能导致业务重叠,从而可能进一步裁员。

《金融时报》总执行长约翰霍伦对媒体指出,他相信新东家像培生一样,力求“报导公正准确,并坚持新闻的完整与独立性”。
