印度浴河节人挤人 酿踩踏惨剧逾27死

(新德里14日讯)印度教“浴河节”活动今天在印度南部安德拉州才开始不久,就发生踩踏意外,目前已知至少27人死亡,多人受伤。许多被送医的民众情况危急,死亡人数可能会增加。

每12年举行一次

中央社报道,电视画面显示,志工不断将昏迷的民众抬离现场送医救治,躺在地上待援的民众以妇女和儿童为主,其他信众正对他们提供饮水。

印度教为期12天的浴河节今天在安德拉州的拉贾赫穆恩德尔伊巿的戈达维利河举行。每12年在戈达维利河举行的这项活动,与印度教另一重要庆典“大壶节”类似,沐浴圣河为主要仪式。

今年是12年一个周期浴河节活动的第12次,也就是每144年才有的“大浴河节”,特别殊胜,人潮犹胜往年。

报道指出,安德拉州州长纳依度今天稍早偕妻儿,在拉贾赫穆恩德尔伊巿沐浴圣河,并吹响海螺壳,为活动揭开序幕。
